Entry, termination, and changes
Correctly recording new employees and changes – while also taking the termination benefit into account

What procedure is required when new employees join, when salary, group of persons, or marital status changes, when employees leave, or when the OPA entry threshold is no longer met? We guide you step by step through the reporting process and the settlement of the termination benefit.

Joining the pension fund

Important

Notify us of the new joiner within 30 days.

Who is subject to OPA contributions?

  • Employees aged 17 up to the regular retirement age.
  • The annual OASI contributory salary is higher than CHF 22,680.00.
  • The employment relationship is limited to more than three months or is unlimited.
  • Employees who do not already have occupational benefits from other (primary) gainful employment.

Procedure

  1. Notify us of the person to be insured using the Notification of changes form or via our AsgaOnline portal.
  2. We will send you a list of benefits/contributions. Insured persons receive their personal insurance certificate. New employees receive the personalised payment slip for transferring the savings capital directly.

Termination

Important

  • Please notify us of termination within 30 days.
  • The termination benefit consists of the savings contributions paid as well as any voluntary deposits, including interest.
  • Please inform your employees that they are themselves responsible for transferring the termination benefit to a new pension fund or to a blocked vested benefits account.

Procedure

  1. Please send us the notice of termination for the relevant employee or record the termination directly in AsgaOnline.
  2. The termination statement as well as the form “Declaration on the use of the termination benefit” will be sent directly to the person who has left.

Changes

Important
